Our island house is an entire home located on the island of Cedros on a spacious property with great ocean views. Since the house is at the top of the island there is a fairly steep cement path from the beach to the house. One bedroom has a double and 1 single bed, the other bedroom has a bunkbed and a single bed and there is single bed and a sleeper couch in the living room, for a total of 7 bed spaces pluss the sleeper coach. There is also a seperate laundry room. There is a ceramic terace around the whole house and also a small pool on the north side and an outdoor hammock area. A gas grill is also at the house for some great afternoon BBQ's. There is WiFi, airconditioning, hot water, a full kitchen, fridge and flatscreen TV for watching Netflix.

We do not live on the island ourselves, but will meet you on your arrival day. We live on the mainland just 5 minutes boatride from the island house. Please do not hesitate to contact us for help planning your stay, we organize several activities (sport fishing, kayak tours, Isla Tortuga boat tours, Whale watching (in the season), SUP rental and not least the bioluminescent kayak tour.

It is located in a non-touristy area; the neighbors are all fishermen. The house is just 200 meters from the water on each side, however the beaches close to the house are very small tidal beaches (meaning that when the tide is up, the water comes all the way up to the rock wall). There is a bigger palm tree beach, Playa Langosta, on Isla Cedros about 15-20 minutes’ walk along a trail - or a quick boat ride with Beto.

Make sure to pick up groceries ahead of time as there are no stores on the island. There are a few restaurants just a short boat ride from the house:

  • Casa de Manito (local family run restaurant) - reservations only, opens at 6pm
  • Isla Chiquita Glamping (stylish restaurant on neighboring island) - reservations only, open for both lunch and dinner
  • Rancho El Pelicano (local restaurant at the fisher men's dock) - open from 7am to 5pm
  • El Mirador San Fernando (local family run "restaurant") - reservations in weekends, open from 11am to 10pm
  • In the little town of Paquera there is a very nice cafeteria (Cafeteria Ara Macao), and some restaurants (we like Seafood Macho'S, Las Vegas and the pizzeria Kinchos ;o)

Boat transport to and from the island on your arrival and departure day is included in the price. The on-site caretaker, Beto, is happy give you additional boat transfers against a fee. Be sure to arrange boat transfers with Beto ahead of time, as he might not always be available. There are no roads or cars on this island. People walk the inland paths, but mostly use their boats to get around.
