A variety of exiting places are easy accessible by boat from Bahía Rica. The gulf of Nicoya is known for its spectacular weather, beautiful beaches, impressive cliffs, calm water and islands full of wildlife. A lot of the islands have their own interesting history. Some are uninhabited while on others you can get in contact whith the local islanders. It is very few organised boat tours to most of these islands so you will be able to enjoy the quietness at a lot of untouched beaches. Our boat tours will take you to many special places where you can encounter lots of different animals like monkeys, lizards, iguanas, birds, turtles, butterflies, dolphins, huge humpback whales and a number of different fishes.

Bahía Rica has a variety of boat tours to choose between. Everything from tailor made trips for bigger groups to short transport tours to areas close by. The routes for the boat tours might differ depending on the weather and the time of the year.
Isla Tortuga
Join us for boat tours to the famous Isla Tortuga. The beach is white, which comes from the coral reefs in the area. Enjoy relaxing on the beach, engage in a volleyball game or put on a mask and explore the coral reef and its colorful fish.
Isla San Lucas
Join us for boat tours to the infamous prison island of San Lucas. Tour the former prison which was rated more hash than both Alcatraz and Devil Island. After the tour of the prison area we will walk on one of the trails that take us to wonderful sandy beaches where we will enjoy food and drinks.

On the boat tours with Bahía Rica you will always have at least one English-speaking guide. Our guides share the interest for nature, activities and socializing and they are always doing their outmost to make the boat tours with Bahía Rica safe and enjoyable.
Equipment
Bahía Rica has one boat that will be used for these boat tours. A 25foot sport fishing boat with a 150 HK outboard motor. We have safety equipment and snorkeling and other activity equipment available.
You have to bring your own sunscreen lotion, sunglasses and clothes suitable for the trips. If you wish to bring along electronic equipment such as camera, make sure to pack it in plastic bags or dry bag as it might get we during the boat tours.
Place of departure and return
All the boat tours are departing from the beach at Bahía Rica and returning to the same place. If we organize boat tours that starts or ends at other places Bahía Rica will work out the details directly with our guests.
Food and beverage
Bahía Rica is providing drinks and snack on all boat tours, and we also serve you a lovely lunch in a very tropical setting at one of the island or beaches the trip takes you to.
